Happy Saturday, readers and subscribers! Just thought I would pass along that starting June 26th, monthly paid subscriptions will be going from $5 to $6, and yearly paid subscriptions from $50 to $60. About a year ago, the financial services platform Substack uses for payments, Stripe decided to get rid of the billing tier I've been using [Billing Starter], and move all users to general Stripe Billing. This means the company's fee will be 0.7% of my payments instead of 0.5% like the past three years I've been using the website. My current pricing is finally up at the end of June, so I thought this might be a good time to do my first ever raise on subscriptions; and wanted to give you an early heads-up.
